We know this is northeast Florida and it can get cold here sometimes during a so-called "Florida winter", BUT it sure doesn't mean that we got to like it when it happens! We've lived here for almost 3 yrs now and really like the weather here.......except when the temp change happen!. True, at least it doesn't snow, or just a spit, but (thank God) not like the inches-to-feet we got in Denver metro-Colorado.
My wife told me a young gal at work told her that she hates the heat and can't wait for the cool-to-cold temps to start. I said "WHAT, why in the he** is she living here if she hates the heat?". Then, I thought , perhaps it's one of those situations where either her or hubby got transferred here like many folks do. Yep, that old statement a company can say to an employee "either take the transfer or lose your job!"
Well, at least the so-called "winter" here isn't like it is in Colorado or North Carolina! We got rid of our snow shovel in North Carolina and was DARN GLAD to do it!!

I can't wait to get rid of my shovel and snow brush. It's already in the 50's here!

Boohoo. It's been a long enough summer. It's nice to go outside and not sweat and feel the cool breeze blowing. I honestly don't get how you can complain about 4-5 days of cool/cold weather when we have just had 6+ months of hot weather, but that's just me.

She's living here for the wonderful weather we have October through May...just as many others are.

I take the good with the bad here in Northeast Florida in regards to weather but fall weather takes me back to burning leaves, pumpkins, apple orchids, the time change and many other things we love about New England. We are here to stay after all these 22 years but the change of seasons still tug at my soul.

I love the weather during this time of year! It means I can start using my backyard burn barrel.

Cold weather suck's when you get older, thats why my folks have moved to Naples, Florida.Where in the summer it's brutally hot and doesn't ever seem to go below 70 year round.

Cooler weather on the other hand is a blessed relief from the tropical heat and humidity of Jacksonville's summers.

haha, I love the weather right now!! 60s to low 70s is perfect.

If I could, sooner rather than later, I'll spend my summers in Chicago and come back here for the winter!

But I guess that's my young bones talkin

Sorry but it hardly get cold around here. I prefer the nicer temps coming (yesterday/last night was nice) as we can now do things outside during the day. I can get my garage cleaned out. I can do some work on my truck I put off all summer.

I certainly don't like the hot summer.
