I disagree. People are conditioned to assume .com, and if you use a different tld, it's a CONSTANT fight to get people to use it.

Our business domain is a .net, and it's a struggle. We give out our email addresses over the phone several times a day, and people still send things to the .com address, which is a completely different company.

OP, stick with a .com unless you have no reasonable alternative. Don't use xxxxINC.com unless you're a corporation. If you're an LLC, use xxxxLLC.com instead.

I like the suggestion for lawnhaircuts.com. If you don't register that in the next few days, I might, just for resale.

Don't use a hyphen if you can avoid it (and you can).

Domain name doesn't matter much to search engines anymore. CONTENT is king. The full URL to a page is also good for SEO, but just the domain doesn't really impact your search results very much. Get the domain that makes the most sense for you and is easily remembered and suggested (word of mouth).
