Appreciate the help ahead here.
Here is the problem. I have my own domain names & emails associated with those Dot Coms.
However, I need to email questions to very tech savvy individuals that I have emailed before from my dot com emails.

If I use my GMail web based email to send them questions, will they (or anybody) be able to see that the emails are coming from me/same PC/IP ADDRESS since they have my email history from my dot com emails? I use thunderbird for my dot com emails.

I realize I could go to a Starbucks, etc, but there is a convenience and timing factor that makes getting out touch.

Would Tor help? I know little about it.

When I send myself emails from the smae PC via my own dot coms and gmail, The numbers do look slightly different, but the gateway(If I recall correctly?) was the same.

Thanks!

I don't understand the question. You have a company email account and you're worried that if you send mail through your personal accounts, someone will see it?

No, I need to ask people at XYZ company a question via email.
XYZ knows me and my dot com emails.
I wish to email them anominously, so I opened a GMAIL account.
If I email them from my web based GMail account and they research the email header on my gmail email and my dot com emails, can they make the connection that it is me, the same person?

thanks!

Probably not, but you can always use a proxy just to be sure.

http://hideyourcheese.com

type in www.gmail.com and go. It pulls the site to their server, then serves it to you, so when they receive the message, they will receive all information from the server, not your personal connection.

Here is a tech article from Google on how to understand an E-Mail header:

Reading full email headers - Gmail Help

Understand the header and you'll have your answers.

Just remember, if you are doing something illegal the powers-that-be will be able to trace you no matter what you do.
