Aristo's for pizza - just east of 31 on Thompson Road on the south side.

We moved to Indy in 1969, and that summer my dad's company put him up in an apartment at Turtle Creek, just south of Thompson on 31. When we would come into town to visit before we got moved we would always go to Aristo's and have pizza and watch the old movies.

Did you ever eat at the Tee Pee by the State Fairgrounds on 38th Street? I remember eating there a few times after going to the State Fair.

Default Drive-In on Shadeland?

What was the name of the drive-in restaurant on the east side of Shadeland, I think in between 30th and 38th Streets? Went there all the time when we were kids.

Default Northern Beach

Summer swims at Northern Beach. Going off the tall diving board. Used to love the fried bread they served at the snack bar. That seemed like a long haul from the far eastside when i was a kid.
