Interesting that Indianapolis is the only place on the list north of the Mason-Dixon.

Funny, the list is actually anti-hipster ... this is a list for people wanting to get away from trendy bs ... so, in essence, this is pro Indianapolis.

And BRG, your age is showing again .. hipsters aren't potheads.

As someone mentioned above, Indianapolis is the ONLY northern city on this list, the rest are southern cities.

Indianapolis is a decent city with many pros, it's just not a "cool" city.

Indianapolis doesn't have a lot of hipsters -- so what?? I'm actually inclined to agree with BRG on this one. I'd rather have entrepreneurial young people who create well-paying jobs that add to the region's tax base and affluence. Let the pretentious, anti-establishment, elitist d-bags live elsewhere.

Except most of the cities on that list are not cities that are exactly flourishing. El Paso, Memphis, Jacksonville? Remind me what makes those cities so great compared with cities like San Fransisco, Seattle, Chicago, New York City, Boston?

There are hipsters in Indianapolis, and to suggest otherwise is complete ignorance. Would Indianapolis be light on hipsters relative to other cities its size? Yeah, maybe so.
