Yeah yeah, but you think of the Mississippi around these parts and you think of St. Louis and don't really associate it with Illinois just like people associate the Ohio River with Louisville and Cincy compared to Evansville or any other area of southern Indiana.

And no one thinks of Minnesota as being the start of the third longest river in the world.

I hated Indpls, I was a Indpls Police Reserve Officer there, I know what I saw! Village Pantrys on every corner, Welfare offices, Crime, Murder, Billboards with either the Pacers or Colts advertisements every where, Metro buses, Cabs, Homeless, Too much diversity, School bussing, Beggers on every other corner, Sirens 24 hr a day, Church hand outs for the minorities etc... Some will say that this is every where, NO its not in my small town, we dont have any of that. Here the better man gets the job! Not this EEOC crap. My quality of life is great! You will be what you see.

This all sounds like codespeak for "We ain't got no blacks down here."

BTW, they haven't been called "Metro" busses in a long time.

To much diversity? Really
Billboards? Joke of a comment
Cabs? god forbid someone needs a taxi
Church handouts for the minorities? What a joke, from someone who's VOLUNTEERED on a continual basis, you should check the makeup of who needs help.
Reserve? Couldn't make it up to be with the big boys? Did they see something you didn't posses?
Welfare Offices? You mean the same offices that exist in all 92 Indiana counties?

I actually have a little bit of pity for you because it's quite sad with the ole hillbilly jim attitude.

We have been living in mesa Arizona for the past 15years and are ready for a change. Our families are in Michigan and webwood like to be closer to them but we can't give up our warm winters. I've been researching southern indiana and it seems like a great place to live... can anyone tell me a little more about which towns are the best for our family? My husband is a super for a large construction company, are there any residential construction jobs available? We also don't want to be toonfar from the city.. we do want to slow down life but I don't think we could handle total wilderness. Help! Any info would be greatly appreciated....

You could try Columbus, IN- a smaller city with a good number of jobs. Close to Lousiville you could look at Floyds Knobs or New Albany. Those two places are a short drive to Louisville.

They call themselves German after checking the census box, and would you want to argue with the most absurdly backwards and persecuting Communists ever? Not I said the ..... Soviets would be happy to live in America, these FOLKS ain't, or yee they might be ( it is better to say so). Very barbaric and uncivilized. It deeply feels like a bunch of Communists here.
