So continue to think that all will be nice when they are sent home, and I will go back to watching LEAVE IT TO BEAVER

This country is broke!!
Actually a drop in the bucket is a very loose term!
The illegals are causing GREAT financial problems in this country. The fact that they are on public assistance, for food, shelter, medical not to menchin the fact that they are also taking jobs away from Legal Americans and than to add insult to injury send the money they are paid under the table home to Mexico!
Which again hurts our country because we need that money to stay here to help our economy!
Saying the economy sucks is even more reason to end the FREE pass illegals get here and send them packing! Because we cannot afford them nor should we pay for them anylonger!

Actually if we just keep on our elected officials to pass laws, enforce old laws and to cut them off of assistance some have left on their own! Or gone to sanctuary city states!
Actually, I think you need to look up CA hospitals that have closed from being bankrupt from illegals. Western Union money being sent out of this country. The cost of assistance to illegals as a whole to the tax payers of our country!

When we have citizens in this country that are having their benefits cut from no money they always seem to find the money for the illegals to have whatever they need though!

Noone is refuting debt to China is not a huge problem, or the 'outsourcing' of technical jobs to India is not destroying our economy.
But, illegal immigration is a financial drain that needs to be shored up.
And lets be honest, we are not talking a few thousand or even a few million dollars here........I do believe we are talking hundreds of millions or even above. And that is money and resources we need.

I'm not denying that, I'm just saying that most people are looking at one problem and not the others. If you or any of us cannot see the forest for the tree's we have already lost what we used to count on, and when we could feel that the country was looking out for us and had our best interests,
it is a whole new world, and not one for the best.

I disagree that people are looking at only one problem. Quite the contrary. I believe people are looking at the many problems that we, as a nation, fact. I believe people are getting involved in trying to reach solutions.

As for the "China issue" - Americans are writing to their Congressional representatives - demanding action be taken. Americans are trying to buy less goods manufactured in China - making their voices heard with their wallets.

Americans are also taking direct action against illegal immigration - something that has a direct, and harmful, impact on their daily lives as well.

It seems you want Americans to ignore the illegal immigration issue - and focus on only one issue - China.

That is foolish IMHO.

I guess it does not concern you how many of our stocks and investments that China does own and if they become a major stock holder how sticky.
We already owe China a lot of money...so just close your eyes and it will all go away

I and others on the immigration forum have been clear that illegal immigration and outsourcing are two heads of the same beast.
Illegal immigration is something that we have established laws against, so it would seem that it should be easier to get govt to finally put those laws into effect.
As far as outsourcing, well its legal. How to combat that, I'm not sure. Maybe it starts with consumers refusing to do business with corp that practice outsourcing.......making a concerted effort to buy made in america goods.......if you have any other ideas I would like to hear them.

Once again - show me where I have said that I am not concerned about what China owns? Please - I'd be very interested to see that

And, while you are at it - you might want to see how much the various nations in Europe own - either as a Government or individual investors -

Now, please tell me what I, as an individual, can do, directly, and immediately, about how much "we" owe China - Please - give us all your insights.

Sassy - you might want to stop trying to misrepresent others positions - as you often do. And, to be clear - I am concerned about the issue of foreign ownership (not just China) of United States properties and business. Got it?

But, I am also concerned about illegal immigration and the DAILY adverse impacts on our lives too.

It seems however that you are incapable of dealing with more than one issue at a time. Most others are able to deal with - become involved with - multiple issues at the same time. It is called Multi tasking.
