Denial is a River in Egypt for some of you and since most of the True History has been covered up over the years or hidden its easy to Deny anything said about the true History of the southwest. Some cultures we know their History going back to when they were monkeys but the Latinos and Spanish dont know their history going back 100 years because lots of the books and information has been hid or destroyed.

Indeed, the true native inhabitants of the American southwest - such as the Apache - despised the Mexicans and Spanish as invaders as much as they did the (Anglo) Americans.
From extensive reading of that era, you are so right.
The Apaches raided Mexicans as much or more so than Americans....
We sometimes forget or we try not to comprehend the fact that the Mexicans have lived in the Americas for thousands upon thousand of years just like the Indians. We also make the mistake of calling the Spanish Mexicans but the Spanish are from Europe and the Mexicans consider the Spanish White. We also label the Spanish Mexicans because they came from South America up through Mexico and into what is now the United States so we assume the Spanish are Mexicans.
But if that is the case that the Spanish are Mexicans then the Anglos that came across the United States through Indian country and Married Indian women or Indian Men should be considered Indians. Ask any Anglo and most have Indian Blood, Cherokee, Apache, etc. Or related to the Spanish in some way but we ignore that fact.
We all need to understand our history of America being a Melting Pot and try to comprehend the fact that we are all related in some way through marriage or Friendship like it or not. The Mexicans are treated like Slaves and Animals and not as the True Native Americans that they are.
Is it any wonder that there is so much hate in the Americas and it is all because WE dont understand our history or we try to ignore the True History of this country. >>> To understand some of the true history of our country we need to read the book.... North From Mexico by Carey McWilliams and get educated on our history instead of turning a blind eye on our people and trying to get rid of people who are our relatives, friends and neighbors and who have helped in building our country when we learn to do this then We can call ourselves True Christians and only then can We start to tear the Wall of Racism in this Country.

I think it is common sense that Mexicans often are of Native American ancestry. That results from the fact that we call the two continents in this part of the world "The Americans." So, natives from this continent (although at one point they probably arrived here from other parts of the world) can be considered Native Americans in all parts of the North and South American continents.
It's like a play on the terminology.
With that said, however, is that the Native Americans that were in Mexico did not have anything to do with the lands in many of the places in present-day United States of America. So, I do not understand why people try to mention the Native American ancestry of current-day Mexicans.
What do the Natives of Mexico have to do with the illegal immigrant population in places like New York, Tennessee or Chicago? Nothing.

Probably the same reason there are no Mayan or Aztec ruins north of the present day border with Mexico---There were no Mayans or Aztecs here. They were prolific builders in stone, and I find it hard to believe their monuments, and buildings disappeared in the Southwest, but survived the jungles of Mexico, and Central America.

The Spanish know their history going back as long as other Europen countries do. If those you refer to as 'Latinos' don't know their history, it's probably because the didn't develop a written language.
Do you know how many Hispanic channels there are on TV?
This thread is exactly why such massive illegal immigration is so wrong for this country. This is not about many millions of people coming because they want to become a part of the American people or because they like our culture and can assimilate.
They despise our culture, our country, our language and our people. Not all illegals of course but very often their children who feel some tie with Mexico and to compensate for abandoning their own country have some "reconquista" notion and racist belief that they should break the laws of this country.
They will do nothing at all for the country they profess to love, they do nothing at all for "their people" if they remain back in Mexico, they don't really give a damn about them. They refuse to see that very massive emigration out actually results in more instability, more poverty and desperation - because they really don't care what happens to their country, they love the American money too much.

I have more of a problem with American citizens who side with them against their fellow Americans especially those with ethnic ties to them. What kind of citizens put their ethnic group here illegally above the interests of their fellow Americans and the best interests of this country as a whole?
Actually most Mexicans are a blend of black, Central-American Indian and white. Not Native-American at all, and in fact Mexico didn't even exist as a nation until the Spaniards came can created it.
Never at any time in history did Mexico rule over all of North America, at best it was city-states with the Aztecs terrorizing the other Indians.
And a Mexican Aztec was no more the same thing as a US Iroquois than a Polish person is the same thing as a Frenchman.

Native americans are different from other natives and national culture and national language/borders are one thing they raise their countries flags. The same thing can be said blacks in latin american countries(language,culture.nationality is what difference)
