The Sandpoint Bypass (Sand Creek Byway) has won a prize!

Bypass picks up accolade - Bonner County Daily Bee: Local News: sandpoint, bonner county, sand creek byway, bypass, american council of engineering companies of idaho

I can still get sentimental about that old rope swing out into Sand Creek, but I have to admit that the byway is a huge plus so far.

There are several companies in Idaho that make potato vodka. Bardeney in Boise is very popular. Koenig, which is a winery in the Boise area also makes great spud vodka.

Default Right to Carry Permit Enhancement Bill Clears House Committee

The Idaho House State Affairs Committee voted unanimously this morning in favor of a bill that would advance the rights of law-abiding gun owners. By voice vote, the Committee approvedHouse Bill 192which will now move to the floor of the House. Introduced by the House State Affairs Committee and co-sponsored by Representative Joe Palmer (R-20), HB 192 would create an enhanced concealed carry license option for those applicants who choose to undergo additional training for more carry benefits and more opportunities for reciprocity in other states. HB 192 will now go to the full House of Representatives where it is eligible for a full vote.
This enhanced concealed carry license would help increase recognition of Idaho’s permit in other states, increasing Idaho’s current 27 state reciprocity to almost 40 states. (from NRA-ILA)

What specifically are the "enhanced carry benefits" granted by the bill in question? I have read the bill as written, and see no benefits mentioned?

I think this is the main point: The bill would, however, create an additional permit that would involve higher levels of training, and that would likely be honored in several other states.
“We anticipate this new permit would be valid in up to 40 other states,”

That's the impression I got, too. Just curious. I have a MO permit, and it is reciprocated by 38 states, so I guess, if this bill works as intended, I will experience a net gain in "CCW respectability" by relocating to Idaho.

I was hoping for something a bit more substantive, both in the benefits and in the required training for the enhanced license. such as carry being allowed in more areas(School campuses, government buildings, etc. that are currently off limits), with substantive training required for approval.
