For reference, Toyota sold 5x as many Highlanders as Lia sold Tellurides and they had plenty on the lot. It seems like the same people in charge of manufacturing the exploding 2.4 engines are just as incompetent when it comes to building actual cars. Any claim that they cant make them fast enough is nothing more than a marketing ploy. Sales have seen a steep decline. Peaked in November of last year at 6824 units, then sold less than 6500 units in December, and last month sales were below 5000. For comparison, Toyota sold 19,962, 20,449, and 17,009 during those months. Kia is doing what Hyundai did with the Velocter N. They are faking a shortage of vehicles to make them sell for higher prices. But now that the Veloster N is everywhere, the steep discounts are still there. Because at the end of the day, we're talking Hyundai and Kia.

Sorry to hear that Toyota Highlander sales are not doing well and peaked in November.

Demand for the Kia Telluride along with its continued accolades continues to amaze the industry.

based on those numbers, there was never a demand for the Telletubby.

I'm following Kia's facebook page and everytime they feature Telluride, people in the comment section mentioning about the lead-time for new order now takes atleast 3 months. Kia Georgia need to produce more.

I love how you constantly bump your own thread and put fluffy sentences out there yet you don't even talk about the nuts and bolts of the truck at all. Very, very strange.....

KIA TELLURIDE WINS “TRIPLE CROWN” OF PRESTIGIOUS AUTOMOTIVE AWARDS
Yes, Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade are the benchmark competitors are now targeting as they took the market by surprise.
Supply cannot still meet the level of demand on both of these vehicles.
and anyone that bought anything else at this time is kicking themselves for not going with the Palisade or the Telluride.

That's just in the last week. You're a one-man overhype machine for this product....geez.

Kia cut production volumes / re-negotiated supplier contracts twice last year but you don't hear Reston talking about that. You only hear when they increase the capacity a bit after those two production cuts and they also fail to mention their current production plan is still 25% below where they thought they would be.

It's a nice vehicle with a horrible powertrain. Is what it is.....and the market share #'s reflect that and that's why so many buyers choose other SUV's instead of this one. As this vehicle ages, and the new Explorers/Pilots/Higlanders start to get up to speed, it will be even harder to sell Tellurides unless they improve the product and fix the issues dogging it right now.

it's a korean car. as much as they like to say they are selling for over MSRP, that is bogus. they are faking a shortage, and maybe they found a couple of morons to pay MSRP, but it's a kia. they have horrible resale. anyone paying over MSRP for a kia hates money. I find the obsession they have with the car rather fascinating. it's a minivan with bigger wheels.

They just came out so you have no basis of resell value.
Otherwise I didn't realize the Telluride was so controversial and was worthy of a dedicated hater club.
