I know the MSRP is not out for the Genesis yet, but im hearing $35000. If you had $35,000 which would you go for a Impala LT v6 or a LTZ or the 2015 Genesis.

OP what about a COPO G37 sedan, BMW 3-Series or a new Ford Fusion AWD?

I'd go for the Genesis without question. If I was willing to expand my budget the 2015 Genesis with AWD and the 5.0 V8 would be my choice. The current Impala is not a bad car by any means its just that the Genesis is better IMO.

These are much smaller cars. Based on the early Genesis reviews the car seems to be bigger than even the 5 series / E class.

Genesis is much better. In every way.
The impala is a FWD rental econobox. And the 3.6L GM V6 is not great.

I don't particularly agree with this assessment but however the hell they designed it, I don't care if they pulled shapes out of a bowl, they did an amazing job when it came down to putting it all together.

BTW, the grille looks nothing like the Audi grille other than the fact that its large and takes up a good bit of frontal space but that is an industry trend rather than an Audi trend. In fact, Hyundai has been using the hexagonal grille for some time already:

none. I'd go for an Audi or BMW since drivability & performance is most important for me.

However, since you are set for one of the 2, I'd go for the Impala - after all these years still I cannot accept Hyundai as a real contender, my experience with rental ones are more disappointing than others...

Easy choice - I'd pick the Genesis over the Impala any day.
