Has anyone read Autoblog's review of the 09 Genesis yet? They gave it a pretty impressive review. I really like the look of it, especially the front end. Thoughts?

Its getting great reviews - its like the new Lexus from 1989 - it matches the established cars feature for feature but is almost $8k less and its biggest hurdle is buyers who want the prestigious badge.

Looks to be a good car and a great value. I would not hesitate to consider it if in the market for that class of vehicle.

So far the reviews have suggested that a side-by-side comparison with its contemporaries shows that it still doesn't quite measure up and has room for improvement. However, it still stands as a very attractive value proposition. I expect the coupe to address many of the noted shortfalls since many of them revolve around its driving and handling characteristics. One has to think its driving dynamics would be tightened up for the coupe.

I didn't know there's a sedan version. First impression, the front grille is ugly, next is the wheels...this could be worse than G35 Sedan

I like how the Genesis coupe looks in showroom though

Agreed-- it will definitely bring some competition to Lexus, especially since they have become a lot more pricey since they debuted. The 2008 LS460 starts at 61K and can reach 100K fully loaded. The Genesis is going to be really appealing for those that want the luxury feel and features without breaking the bank. It's really a great value, considering it starts at only 33K.
