Billboard Magazine names The Orion Amphitheater the top East Coast Amphitheater.

"Designed by Mumford & Sons member Ben Lovett’s The Venue Group and financially supported by a who’s who of heavyweights including Forest Hills Stadium’s Mike Luba and Red Light Management’s Coran Capshaw, the classically designed amphitheater draws visitors from all over the world but was built specifically for Huntsville residents. The space is open year-round as a popular dining destination and includes a farmers market, art gallery and large meeting space."

The amphitheater is definitely impressive. And MidCity overall is beyond impressive. It's a massive build. Sort of surprising that MidCity, Town Madison, and all the new construction downtown is ongoing essentially simultaneously.

Think I saw somewhere that Mid City is only around 37% completed or underway.

There are cranes all over the place out there. It's really a beautiful place - a small city in itself.

And another simultaneous huge development is Redstone Gateway. The interchange of 565/Rideout/Research Park really, really needs replacing with a proper design. I don't think Resolute Way is the answer.

And another is the Front Row development downtown (if it ever really gets moving), along with Center City.

Mill Creek will also be huge when it gets underway 440 million over 7-8 years.
City Centre is also seeing major construction.
Stadium Commons around Joe Davis soccer stadium.
Hays Farm development in south Huntsville on going
https://haysfarm.com/
New plans for the Greenbrier area west of Huntsville International Airport .
Big Cove Village mixed use in the Hampton Cove area similar to Providence in west Huntsville which is still expanding.

There is a good bet that some other big developments will be announced this year

Played golf at Sunset Landing today (at the airport) and something is going on with the west runway/taxiway. It was being done last week as well. Commercial traffic was not using the west runway best I could tell.

Anybody know what's being done? Looks like a semi-longterm project, whatever it is.

I think that the resolute way interchange would be nice, mainly b/c after it is built it would allow for the Research park/565 interchange to be rebuilt with lessened disruptions to the flow of traffic into the arsenal. it just makes sense to do one before the other if you think about it.
