Keep flying HSV and even more service will come.
Looking like two weekly non stops to Los Angeles, Fridays and Mondays starting at $149. Flights begin June 14. 4 hour and 35 minute flight on Airbus 220-300.

Also at the airport the International Intermodal Center continues to rebound strongly from covid and other logistic delays

I looked at a couple of days and HSV-LAX was direct on at least those days. Also LAX-LAS has tons of competition, so maybe not a great option for Breeze.

Kind of odd that I can't find any announcements yet but the service is already up on the Breeze booking site.

Is there matching return service, meaning LAX to HSV? Should take a lot less time going east than going west.

Many, many years ago, not long after the airport opened at the current location, there was non-stop service to Los Angeles for a while. I'm not sure, but United seems to stick in my mind for the airline. I'm not sure why if was ever dropped. I had to go to LA a LOT before I retired because of the aerospace/defense companies there and here. It's good to see that service returning.

I mostly flew American mainline to Dallas, then on the LAX. Don't know if American has mainline service in Huntsville at all now.

The day I looked in June, flights were $258 plus they hit you for $24 for selecting a seat and $35 to carry on a 22" rolling bag. Then they only fly Mondays and Fridays.

Spirit Airlines out of Nashville flies for ridiculously low airfares. I saw one day @ $108 round trip. I didn't look at the terms and conditions, But they make the route every day.

The legacy airline flying that route is American Airlines, and it's the flight you see so many movie stars and music people on.

This also appears to be a seasonal route ending in September. Most likely to see how it does then extended if it warrants.
Not unusual as a lot of airlines are doing this seasonal routine now, Breeze, Avelo, Frontier, Allegiant etc

My daughter flew Breeze to Orlando and Silver on the way back. She said, hands down, Breeze was much much better than Silver.

Does anyone know when this stretch of Monroe street will return to four lanes? The crane for the underconstruction hotel has been gone for months now, giving plenty of time for them to restore the street to full functionality.
