Past time for aldot to quit ignoring our area.
Hey losers you are gonna have to spend money up here.
“The Huntsville metro area gained nearly 6,000 people through domestic and foreign migration between 2017 and 2018. That equates to 112 new people moving to the area per week - the highest rate of any metro in Alabama.”

Looks like the growth is going to continue too, with the FBI announcements, Toyota/Mazda, suppliers, rocket engine manufacturers, etc. There's even a chance that Huntsville will be chosen as the headquarters for Trump's new "Space Force" (), but I doubt it. The whole thing will probably never happen.

The growth here isn't wild like in several other locations in the country, but it's steady and large for Alabama. ALDOT needs to realize it and plan for the future a little. Seems like most of the things they do have been proposed or talked about for many, many years.

I wonder if Ziegler will get his way and have Cooper fired for his Mobile bridge blunderings.

ALDOT needs new leadership, the old guard has kept control for too long. I think the whole state would benefit from it. That's why a lot of people wanted Tommy Battle to become governor. He is more forward thinking and right now our leadership really isn't in this state. I wish that had happened. Maybe this next go around he can run and win.

ALDONT is so politically driven, that it is a swamp that will be very hard to drain. The governor can do something about it, but like AEA, ALDONT has too much political power.

Shrimp Basket in Madison (old Ruby Tuesday’s) opens September 12. They did a nice renovation on this property.

Is that the Ruby Tuesday's next to Cracker Barrel off 565, or the one on University (Hwy 72)?

Thanks. I had heard somewhere that the one near Cracker Barrel had been sold and would open as something else, but so far there seems to be no activity at that spot. It's actually a pretty good, accessible location.

The Ruby Tuesday next to Cracker Barrel did indeed sell. It sold in July of 2018 for $1,334,000.
