Please elaborate.

So annoying when people post generalized, sweeping descriptions without any kind of explanation.

Kingwood is elegantly developed. Good shopping. Easy commute to downtown. Lots to do. Great dining. High average incomes. The trees, parks and water. Ducks and deer. Friendly people.

Please don't make this into another Kingwood vs The Woodlands thread, or any other neighborhood for that matter.

That's not the question I asked. Thanks.
I don't think the person intentionally tried to make it a Kingwood vs. Woodlands thread. Seems like most posters here "toot their own horn" so to speak. Everyone pushes for their neighborhood like a popularity contest -- just human nature, if you really like where you live - you tend to think it is the best.

Thanks -- a lot of you are posting how nice Kingwood is, and that's why I'm looking to buy there.

But as with any suburb, there can be a big difference between one neighborhood in it and another.

Does anybody have any info (from experience) on what are the nicer areas/villages and the not as nice areas/villages?

Again, thanks!

I grew up in Bear Branch. I absolutely loved it. Kingwood is a wonderful place for little kids. The High School is kinda wacky, but I am not a fan of huge high schools...get lost in the system if you're Joe Average.

There is a new High School in Kingwood (Kingwood Park)that is much smaller and less 'wacky.' Bear Branch Elementary is outstanding.
