What can you expect in Houston before 2020? How will the area look? What will the demographics be like? Will there be better public transit? Will there be an amusment park? Can you expect a bigger boom and population growth this decade than last decade? Give your predictions.

Just breaking ground on the University line and a whole bunch of bickering about a proposed commuter rail line running along Westpark. Talk of at least one more freeway extention, maybe 290 to downtown.

Houston's core will be very nice and rail system will more extensive.

The metro's population will around 7 million.

Grand Parkway will be completed.

The Woodlands and all the other MPC's will be HUGE.

Hopefully the funding will be there for Earthquest.

The economy here will be amazing due to the energy industry.

That's my take.

Someone pointed out this was done is July. Well, we all werent here looking at posts here in July.

Houston will continue to grow. More Hotels in the convention district will be up and running, allowing the Center to attract bigger shows, meetings, since we will have the hotel space.

Houston's "Central Park" as the Mayor describes it, should be complete.

Population...7.5 mil is my guess for the MSA.

No theme park for Houston. That Earthquest dream is just that, a dream.

Otherwise, overall, Houston looks like the place to be in the USA.
