That thing is a monster. Someone in this thread said Houston would look like a bulls eye with all those loops.

lol, then don't be so literal.

Highway 6 is not a loop either.

It is more of an effed up C.

Ah well Baton Rouge has two loops that starts at the 10/12 split and ends in Slidell and one with the borders of 55/10/12, New Orleans has two loops with I-10 and I-610, then 10/12/55.
Don't call me a butt hole but none of them are loops and the one around downtown Houston is a choking set of hands killing off activity.

Wait til you see the Chinese capital of Beijing:

the city has 5 beltways, fulling encircling it, with an even larger 6th beltway in planning! I was amazed. But they still have horrendous traffic backups, possibly worse than even Chicago and NYC. This caused me to get to my office extra early every morning of the 4 months that I worked there.

Wikipedia said when constructed the Grand Parkway will be the largest beltway in the world.

I have said the same thing repeatedly. 45 at Pierce kills midtown, and 59 kills east downtown. I10 doesn't hurt that bad as the Bayou slowed development north a bit before the highway did.

Interesting, Beijing's 4th loop is about the same size as the 610 loop and then they crammed 3 more inside it.
