I always notice when I drive by my neighbors homes that they have more stuff in the garage than a place to park the car. So I was curious is your garage a storage area or is it use for parking. I understand light storage mix use but I want to know if your a pack rat that parking a car is not a option in its current condidtion.
lol- unfortunately even a 3 car garage became....storage. In part bcs of my husbands ""projects"" a boat that never gets renovated- paint, tools, etc. It is going to be a nightmare to clear out! we now have3 vehicles in the driveway.
3 car also...Corvette on one side (it's never seen the rain) work shop on the other 2/3.
Humorous Factoid: Frank Loyd Wright so disliked garages he refused to include them in any of his designs. He built car ports instead. He recognized that people tend to collect crap in a garage so by only including a car port it forced the owner to maintain a "neater" life style. Yes he was a major control freak.
he even designed a line of clothing for the lady of one of his homes... She politley told him what he could do with that idea
my option wasn't there
our garage is my husbands woodworking shop, so it is filled with table saws, planners, jointers and the such.

I consider it is there I was trying to figure if people use there garage for other than intended purpose. I think this guy down the street from me has turn his garage into a hang out spot I always see the garage door open and I think he has flat screen tv in there lol maybe his wife told him the garage is your domain you can do whatever long as you keep your buddies out of the house. hehe

We only have a 1 car garage for 3 cars, so it's used for storage. We have tools, 1960's paneling pieces (that we are removing for the living room), deck furniture (going out this weekend) and some other junk. When I get my own place, I need the garage for parking! because I'm tired of parking on the street and cleaning and digging it out of the snow.
I voted storage even though we use ours for cars. Everyone in our neighborhood, however, uses it for storage so I felt I should speak for them! We're renting right now but I would never use a garage for storage. It's too dang hot in AZ to leave your car out all the time!

Aww come on... we do.
Although that's not entirely true. I make sure there's room to park one car in our three car garage (that would be MY car)

When I built the house, I purposely kept the garage detached from the house. That way nothing can migrate from the house. It's a four car with a second floor for storage. There's a set of stairs that go up the outside with a balconey for sitting. I just recently had to build another garage that is taller. That's strictly for storing concession trailers.
