I only can install one in a kitchen. Where would be the ideal place for it? More near a sink, stove, etc?? How much would it cost?

It depends on if its gas or electric dryer. Its going to require a electrican and a plumber and depends on teh type of home really.A electric dryer is going to reauire a separate 220 line and a gas one opf course is going to require a gas line. Thetehir is the plumbing for the washer and separate 110 line. You need to get estimates form both as its impossible to tell really.Alot will depend oin teh type of foundation also. All new will not be cheap tho.good luck

Have you looked into the mobile home all in one units that wash and dry and plug into a regular 120v outlet? I've seen them set up to drain into the sink and tap off the sink faucet... just like a portable dishwasher.

Not the best solution, but for one or two people it might work out ok...

They generally need a footprint 24" wide and 28" deep.

A portable washer might be worth looking into... they hook right up to your kitchen faucet and drain there, too, and you can roll them out of the way (or even out of the room!) when not in use.

Is it possible to have the washer hose changed from portable to permanet and then run the hose which needs to be extra long, and run the hose behind the stove and counters to under the sink. Will I be able to have the drain hose and the fill hose put in under the kitchen sink.
