We just bought our first home and now getting ready to buy my first washer and dryer. I think whirlpool, LG etc are famous for their washers n dryers. But I am getting some discount thru my DH's company for GE Washer n Dryer. Looking for any feedback on a GE system along with model no if possible. Thanks soooo much.

The GE stuff is generally crappy but alot of the stuff is made in the same exact plant with just different logos affixed at the end.

I'd buy the GE and just replace it as it eventually gives out. This is what I did and I had a few minor problems but they are now 8 years old and still going. The fridge lasted 5 years or so and was a POS.

I got them all through the GE employee program you are describing. Can't beat the prices.

If you get the right GE applicances they are as highly rated as the next brand nw days.Alot depends on the grade of GE appliances.I's just stay away from everybodies front loader washers until the get the mold problems figured out.

My mom has had her GE washer and dryer for too many years to count. The washer is harvest gold and the dryer has wood grain trim. Both are humming along quite nicely.

The top load models with the stainless steel drums are top notch. As for the front loaders, I would rate them middle of the road. Ok, but not as good as LG or Whirlpool. They also have top rated kitchen appliances. I would definitely recommend their kitchen stuff.

I totally agree, can't beat the price...thats one of the reason I am considering GE.
