I have a half bath on my main floor that will be used primarily by guests. There are the regular towel holders on the wall. I'll probably put in a few decorative towels.
However, I think it would be better to provide paper towels for actual hand washing/drying. The problem is the sink is a pedestal type. There's not much room on the sink itself to put a vertical paper towel holder. I would most likely have to put it on the top of the toilet.
Does anyone else provide paper towels in their bathrooms? Where do you place them?
My mom has heavy duty napkins stacked horizontally in a clear lucite open box. I'm not sure where she gets them but they are decorative and hold up well for a vigorous hand drying, better and much more attractive than a paper towel.
She goes bezerk if you ever use a hand towel hanging by the sink to ever dry your hands as if it were the most uncouth thing a person could ever do.
I like the napkins she has but we have hand towels rolled up in a decorative bowl, one kind of draped over the edge and ready to use. And I think using hand towels to dry your hands is a perfectly acceptable thing to do
Not a fan of paper towels in the guest bath but if that is what is convenient for you then get one of those oblong baskets with "C" fold paper towels for the back of the toilet.
Make sure there is proper towel disposal in hopes that they don't get flushed.
There are paper towels out in a slanted box with a note on it "do not flush".. We just stick the box into the towel bar, pull out slot is under the bar. I do not have three dozen tiny towels to be used during a BBQ.
You could do something like this and use the fancy guest paper towels in a small basket. Personally I hate things on the back of toilet.
me too. I also think paper towels are more sanitary. Who wants to be the 3rd or 4th at a dinner party to use the same towel?
Maybe get a small, narrow table or stand to put the paper towels on?

I like cloth towels, have a bunch of colorful hand towels and convenient hooks to invite people to use them.
A friend has given me several sets of paper guest towels, so I usually put them out, too. They never get used. Now I'm moving, and it's just one more darn thing to get rid of!
I personally never put towels at the back of the toilet. I have paper and regular hand towels in the guest bath.
