I have a pedestal sink in our very small half bath that guests use. I found some monogrammed paper napkins and a paper napkin holder at Pier 1. So I put those on the back of the toilet. And I also have a hand towel (that I wash frequently) hanging beside the sink.
Got things covered!
If you put them on the back of the toilet, people might think - what a fancy toilet paper! and use it for... #2 and then also clog your toilet too. I would not want to run that risk...
I don't have show towels that are not meant to be used but I do have hand towels that were purchased specifically to go in the powder room that don't get used in other rooms. They don't have embroidery or satin but I did get them to match the color scheme and I have other colors in the other bathrooms.
I do as well. I have several in that color that are changed out 2 or 3 times a week.
I like clean and sanitary hand towels, and I'm fine with paper. But I do think it's a little tacky to put a regular roll of paper towels in there. I've done that when I'm having work done on the house and contractors using the bathroom. But for regular guests, I do prefer the decorative paper hand towels, for something a bit more special than a roll of Bounty.
Keeping towel for guest bathroom is not considered hygienic. If you have small space but still you want to use paper towel then you can use a paper towel dispenser and mount them on the wall. But be sure that you keep thrash can inside the bathroom to dispose used paper towel.
This is an old thread, but now it certainly makes sense to have paper towels in a guest bathroom. My mom actually put a roll of Bounty in her hall bath after Covid hit. She and my dad were elderly and on dialysis so they needed to take extra precautions.
me too. I also think paper towels are more sanitary. Who wants to be the 3rd or 4th at a dinner party to use the same towel?
Maybe get a small, narrow table or stand to put the paper towels on?
I agree. My paper towels have bit of design on the and they sit in a holder to one side of the sink.
We have both paper towels and regular cloth towels, your choice. After you leave we'll either empty the waste basket or wash the cloth towels.
