Just for my own personal knowledge, I was wondering if anyone was familiar with homebuilding? Mostly I wanted to know what the tube thing on the floor is. Possibly a future drain?

Also, I was curious what the orange and yellow cables were. Guessing electric/internet, but would like to know exactly.

And 1more thing I was curious is, at the bottom of the orange wires, I wonder what the cutout is for.

The yellow wire is a 20 amp circuit, the white circuit is 15 amp circuit and the orange wire is a 30 amp circuit.
Good question what the pipe sticking up thru the floor is. It might be a drain and it might just be something temp'd in that will go thru that drilled hole later.

Looking at the subfloor makes me think this is an upstairs laundry room or over a basement. The pipe in the floor is for a drain pan required by code should the washer malfunction or the washer drain malfunction and it provides drainage to keep the house from flooding.
The hole in the plates, I can't tell for sure if that is a 2x 6 wall or a 2x 8. It's possible that the hole is there as that's where the vent will go for the dryer considering it's where the dryer will sit. Dryer vent hose and piping is usually 4". Measure the opening. If it's 4" prox, it's for the dryer.

Yeah, not sure what that is about, but I like that the metal plate was added in the corner where you KNOW a rocker is going to try to drive a drywall screw through the wire.

It's a floor drain for the washer. Looks like the laundry room is on the second floor. Most likely the washer will sit in a pan.

You would think so but there is no blocking for the pan.

I've been trying to Google the building code that specifies that a laundry room not on the ground floor requires a drain but I can't find it...

Thinking possibly the builder is doing it this way to prevent future costly warranty claims?

What is a wrap-around?

BTW, I just realized all of those plumbing might be for the second bath, not even the laundry lol. Or maybe it will be shared? The plan is here Azalea Floor Plan at Copperleaf at Global Forum in Doraville, GA - Taylor Morrison
