I like the look of wood without the cons. Can you tell me your pros and cons. Also what did it cost per sqft to have it installed. I'm looking to get 1,000sqft installed.

I think it's great - I've seen it in person a few times and thought it looked just fine. After a while I wished I was installing that in my old house instead of wood because my dog was just big enough to ding the floor when he'd run to the door because someone rang the doorbell.

I just had 400 sq ft installed for $2/ft labor. The cement board is another $1, if you need it. Use a porcelain product if you can.

Yeah, I love wood floors but my dogs would scrape it to hell and also whizz all over it and wood don't like fluid on it.

Faux, do they remove your molding when installing? And 2 bucks is pretty cheap. Did you or them supply the tiles?

If they don't remove the baseboards, it's really easy to do that on your own. All it takes is a putty knife to protect the drywall, a blade and a pry bar.

I removed the molding, old flooring, appliances, and furniture myself.
$2 was labor only and did not include tile, grout, mortar, or backerboard underlayment (that you will need if you have a wood sub-floor - add $2 or diy for $1).

It's all on a concrete slab. And yeah I'm handy so I may remove everything myself and have them just install the tile. Is your grout color matched to where it's hard to see?

Thanks for the help.
