Stars had a heck of a season last year and lost to the stupid Red Wings in the WCF. There's no stopping the Stars this season especially with the addition of Richards last season and the signing of Sean Avery in the off season. Red Wings got lucky in the WCF last year but not again. They have amazing forward lines but could maybe sign another defenseman. They're set with the best goaltender in the NHL in Turco! Next season they'll be skating with the cup for the second time.
Yeah. Those stupid lucky Red Wings.
Stupid Stanley Cup winners.
I don't understand why fans use terms "stupid" or "lucky" when talking about other teams. It seems so 2nd grade-ish. It's so much nicer when one actually talks the facts and stats and uses those for an argument.
Then again, that's what makes hockey fans so great. We are all over the place. And often passionate.
There's been a lot of reloading in the west this offseason. Dallas isn't the only one who's made some moves. They will be good, but good doesn't get you far in the West.
I hope the Stars will win it all. Just to get the DFW area out of this slump. Right now, they are the best team in the area..... I mean, at least they got out of the 1st round.

This is true as Detroit picked up Marian Hossa, so far the best pick-up in my opinion. Still, you can have all the all-stars you want, and be the league-leader in wins, but you could be out of the playoffs before you know it. My Dallas Mavericks did that last year.

Yes, because Sean Avery has led several teams to the Cup thus far.
I mean I like the guy, but to all of a sudden think that Dallas is a lock for the Cup because they acquired a min.-mod. level grinder is pretty laughable. Not to mention he's virtually a lock to miss about a dozen games due to suspensions.
