I must be the only Flyers fan bummed at the team trading R.J. Umberger. Doesn't seem to be much reaction one way or the other about it around here.
I was a little surprised as he had a strong playoff. I heard it was more of a salary cap issue. I thought they might buy out Gagne due to his concussions.
They may as well just leave the Cup in Detroit, because it's not going anywhere. Osgood knows he's the man next year, and Zetterberg showed the world who the TRUE face of the NHL is during the playoffs, despite the medias love affair with Cindy Crosby. The rest of that specatcular roster will be back, perhaps minus Chelios, and as usual there is a legion of talent from Grand Rapids pounding on the door at Joe Louis. Look for Jonathan Ericsson, Jimmy Howard, Derek Meech, and Justin Abdelkader to all play a signifigant role in next years Stanley Cup run.
Thank God for the Wings, because the Tigers & Lions make me suicidal.
Yeah but if they leave the cup in Detroit it'll be all mangled and stained and look like a crushed up tin can!!
