As to the question...were Vikings black? No, but there were black Vikings. Viking captured blacks in slave markets and many became Vikings. Vikings were pirates that made a living terrorizing people, and having blacks helped them.

On this, I think it depends on who you consider "Vikings" to be. I don't consider all pirates to be Vikings or vice versa. Vikings IMO are sailors from Northern Europe/Scandinavia and they were "white."
Pirates can be of any ethnic origin and from any part of the world and all sorts of sea faring people have a history of pirates. But Vikings are Vikings IMO lol. They were white Scandinavians. I am aware they looted over various places, including N. Africa but they were from Scandinavia and would be considered "white."
Viking IMO is more of an ethnic origin and not an....occupation like pirating.
