Just what we need -panic buying and driving the price up on everything with supplies running out. Gas, medication please. The gas lines are flowing and people are coming to see an eclipse not buy up our medication. This is getting ridiculous. Reminds me of Y2k when absolutely nothing happened.
The more I hear, the more I think we'll just stay home. I can imagine a loud crowd doing a 'count-down' to totality, and cheering, etc. during totality. I'd like peace and quiet, and observe nature during this rare event. We're lucky to be out in the country, and within the path of totality.

The weather forecast will have a lot to do with the size of the crowds. Maybe visitors will look for alternate locations and not head here since there is a chance of T-storms Monday.
For the ones living here, let's hope that the T-storms come late and the clouds don't obstruct too much.
At this point, it's wishful thinking that we will have clear skies. But let's hope for the best!

I'm not a weather person, but hope that if it's just pop-up storms, the cooling effect of the eclipse will delay the storms.
Dang. You're right. That's a bummer. I got my ticket luckily.
