The eclipse could come and go before you would of gotten thru the line.
I just don't get it...its still just a donut.
I wonder more of how long people waited in that line...for a donut. Anyone???
Has anyone seen the called-for increased traffic and people?
Now.. Honestly, I'm probably not in the best place to notice it.. Gray Court isn't exactly a tourist mecca.. But I was up around Simpsonville yesterday.. Silver Bay seemed empty for a Saturday and there wasn't a line stretched around the corner at the Train Ice Cream place.. I did see one moron with Florida tags doing perhaps the worst (And funniest) parking job I've seen in some time in downtown Simpsonville.. But... Things just didn't seem overly crowded.
I think this traffic scare is hyperbole. Cities will be bad, but the highways have been fine so far this weekend.
I think I-26 might be very busy from Clinton to Charleston.. Pending on the weather. You could wind up seeing a large number of people going either way, pending on cloud cover. Since the path of the eclipse basically follows the route of 26.
I saw charter buses driving downtown with full passenger loads that had 'solar eclipse' on the front window. Anybody know what group this is for?
