Marcia Clark had told Det. Furhman she would not use the knife on the bathtub edge or the black exercise clothes soaking in the laundry tub, that he had found because of his perjury about the N word.

Keep in mind also that the trial happened in 1995, only 3 years after the awful riots that occurred in Los Angeles in 1992 because of the acquittal of the police officers that were involved in the Rodney King beating and the subsequent trial. They probably did not want another uprising in Los Angeles because of a guilty verdict in the O.J. Simpson trial.

I also remember the infamous Bronco chase on Los Angeles' freeways, and crowds standing on the side of the freeways cheering for him, which was pathetic.

But, OJ could not stay out of trouble, looks like he'll be serving possibly the rest of his life in prison in Nevada for robbery and kidnapping.
There were nine black women on the jury. I doubt anyone of them would have taken their life in their hands to find OJ guilty.

Oh, I definitely believe that the LAPD tried to frame O.J. It was probably the first time in history that a police department tried and failed to frame a guilty man.

The police started lying on the very first day of the trial when they stated that they didn't consider O.J. a suspect... the ex-husband/boyfriend is always the first suspect. Then the claimed that when they went to O.J. house it was just to notify him about the murders... right. Then after spotting a drop of blood on O.J. Bronco the "were worried that some might be hurt in the house, climbed the fence and without their guns drawn approached the house...puleeeze. That was just to cover the fact that they didn't have a warrant to search the property!

O.J. was guilty as hell, he just lucked up and got two stupid cops and a set of prosecutors out of their depth.

I do NOT for one minute believe OJ DID NOT off his wife/Innocent Ron Goldman..He only got off because DNA evidence back then was NOT yet understood and passed the threshold yet!

His history..His animosity, his jealously, his threats gives simply motive..His actions post murders as well as NO one else had any reason to do such a heinous thing!!

OJ got away criminally back then..but Karma has a way of catching up with people who live like they are entitled...He's where he should be..I hope he stays where he is..and his maker will make the final judgment.!!!

The civil judgment never did paid..just like OJ has never paid up for his debts..BUT that will not help him..HE Can't take his "Stuff" with him when he dies..Personal wealth..possession cannot be taken with you..best he makes sure he gets his house in order..But Oj's personality will never allow him to confess...

No second chances OJ

The police and prosecution were incompetent.

The proper course of action was to prosecute only for the murder of Ron Goldman first, after fully developing the case.

Does anyone think OJ's son might have did it ?
There were big reasons to investigate him and it didn't happen.
Take a look at the first comment here.

It happens very frequently in countries (East Asian countries spring to mind) with fewer rights to a fair trial than the US. Not to say that OJ is innocent. But the motive to frame a guilty person is to ensure a conviction.

It's interesting how 20 years later you just don't have the racial rancor over OJ like there once was.

You have a lot more people now that readily accept that the police DO frame people, especially if you are poor and black as various innocence projects and statistics show us....and that people latched onto OJ's innocence out of backlash to some degree....just like some instantly thought him guilty.

They also look back at the OJ evidence and the general consensus is that he did it but the quality of his lawyers (another key point about justice being bought) and ineptness of the investigation combined to have him found "not guilty"...followed by his loss of the civil suit where he was found to be at fault.

It just brings up a lot of interesting points about our justice system, the power of money and peoples biases.

I feel pretty certain that if OJ had just been a black or white garbage truck driver in Cleveland that had an estranged wife, he'd have been found guilty without much fanfare.

One great thing to come of it was that if there SHOULD be DNA evidence planting someone at the crime the prosecution better have it. DNA has prevented thousands of innocent people from going to jail.

Had OJ not run, complete with the media circus of "the chase" on California's freeways, I do think the case may have appeared as a different situation with most of America not thinking the running away was an outright admission of guilt. The fact of racial bias was also not as much a consideration as the fact of his celebrity. We know that Mafia Dons were getting off simply by hiring the best attorneys, that, coupled with the usual police/court ineptitude almost guarantees the case to be tossed out, or a favorable jury outcome for the defendant at the least.
