You all are really arguing about who has the tallest 8 story building.....
Call me when you make it to the double digits
Even the major cities in Alabama look better than the ones in Georgia
Face it- your city lacks life
Numbers won't solve all of the city problems....

What cities in Alabama do you deem 'major', pray tell?

Birmingham alone is much larger than the 3 in this "poll". Huntsville is about the same size as the Fall Line cities but has a lot more going on economically

I find the entire premise of this poll to be ridiculous. None of these 3 cities are on the verge of becoming the next star in Georgia's crown. When it comes to Georgia there are really only 2 cities that have prominence...Atlanta and Savannah
, The rest are pretty much gravy

Well they're already premiere urban centers in the state.

Both Columbus and Augusta are quite a bit larger than Savannah.

By city limits, but that really doesn't matter with what's being discussed here. Metro population is what matters, and Savannah has around 90k more people than Columbus.

Does it though?
I can have a better time in a small town like Gatlinburg/ Pigeon Forge or even Athens Georgia.
In comparison to Augusta or Macon
Savannah may be smaller in size and population but they bring in more tourist than anything.

Actually, The trade area of Savannah is the second largest in Georgia. Beaufort County and Hilton Head are not included in Savannah's MSA but they are part if the overall trade. Savannah has always been shortchanged in it's MSA #s as has Macon. Chatham is by far the most populous county in the state outside metro Atlanta and the city of Savannah is far more dense and urban than any of the 3 in this poll.
I agree about bigger MSAs not necessarily equating to being better. Athens has a much better downtown than any of the Fall Line cities.
Asheville is not the largest city or MSA in NC by any means but if I were going to move to NC, Asheville would be top on my list. It's also smaller than Augusta but has a much nicer downtown.

Augusta is pretty much already a star, what with the Masters, the Army Cyber Command, and the Medical College of Georgia.
