Here we are in Mid January and I am thinking about the garden...


Instead of taking core samples of a snowpack, I'm doing soil tests..


Some of you get bored of these threads but I use it as a diary to look back on so I will try to keep it going for 2023.


I am doing soil tests from Front Lawn, Back Lawn and 1 of the Garden Beds..





Decided to do a test. Sending a front lawn sample to 2 different sources. One place is free (CT Agricultural Station), the other charges $15 (UConn Lab). Im curious if there will be a difference. Sample taken from same spot.

I don't think ANYONE ever gets bored of your garden threads! I was so happy to happen upon this one, LOL! Looking forward to your adventures in gardening.

Yes, thankfully my back is good now so I may go all out this year in my limited space. Lol. I just added a HotTub so that took a huge chunk of my garden space.

Cool! Thanks! Yeah, I wish more people did their own thread, I definitely would check it out. Its fun seeing everyones setup, challenges, and successes in different parts of the world.

Can't wait. When we moved we left our hot tub. Such a relaxing thing especially if you have tired muscles.

Well half of ours this year will be in cover crop so that would be boring, lol.
