But we will have to settle for the current designs. No complaint here, hopefully they do something to that Fort Worth Cats stadium. lol

I've thought about that some years ago.

You know what... I'd rather use Farrington Field and rebuild that as an MLS stadium... it would be perfect. Even if you were to add a new park for the Cats (or Rangers) in that area, you still wouldn't really have to worry about parking with the WRMC having a swath of surface lots just to the west.

The T must read our post on city-data. I was just talking about this a couple of weeks ago. The T's Master transit plan now includes East Fort Worth and Arlington.

"WOODMONT OUTLETS"

Strange name choice. I would have gone with "Alliance Outlets". But here are the details:

Quote:
The Woodmont Outlets is seeking a $20 million economic development grant over a 15-year period. In order to receive this grant, the outlets are required to invest at least $100 million on development by the end of 2019. Some of the other requirements include spending 30 percent of construction costs on Fort Worth contractors and 25 percent of construction costs on minority or women-owned business. In addition, the outlets must create at least 350 full-time equivalent jobs.

Woodmont’s 115-acre project is “trying to move fairly quickly” with hopes of breaking ground this year and finishing construction in 2019, said Robert Sturns, economic development director at the City of Fort Worth. The Woodmont Company plans to build 580,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and other space.

Though no tenants have signed onto the project yet, potential tenants in the Woodmont Outlets include H&M, J. Crew and Vera Bradley, Sturns said.
Renderings
The location is between Cabella's and Westport Pkwy.

Oh I knew it stopped. I just didn't bother to post because I knew it was going to be a temporary slow-down.

This will basically be our Uptown. (In fact, that was going to be the name for it)
