Well the stuffed shells are finally getting made after 2 days with no power. I don’t know what else to serve - we ate salads the last couple of nights because they didn’t require an appliance.

This is what makes this diet a success... there are so few foods one can use, nothing has flavor, so you eat a lot less. I'm doing it for asthma/allergy purposes not weight loss, but still... I'm still hungry but don't want this awful food, so I just eat enough to make me not starving. Blech!

How can I be the only person in my family with such severe allergies?! Doesn't make sense.

I had to do an elimination diet, I feel for you, it sucks.

A few days ago someone, who will remain unnamed ( husband) accidentally shattered our glass top electric stove. On a good note it gave us the kick in the butt to finally switch over to gas. My husband installed the new stove today.

After all that tonight is our last night of take out!!! Yay!! I ordered fried whole belly clams with fries and cole slaw. Tomorrow we cook again!!!

OMG. Send him to our house! I want to switch to gas too, but we just bought two other new appliances so it is only responsible to wait, BUT if it were to BREAK, well, I would have to.

I pulled a container from the freezer that I thought was vegetable soup. Turned out to be a lentil stew which will be very welcome on this frigid day.

Antipasti. Caprese salad. Genoa. Pickled veges of eggplant, red bell, onions, garlic. Mini bruschetta with arugula, onions cooked down with sugar and Merlot, and gorgonzola.

Today we decided to do a couple of projects that ended up taking more time that we had estimated. So afterwards we eyeballed the contents of the freezer and found a container of vegan Bavarian leek and cabbage soup, one of our favorites! We served it with hot fresh baked wheat/rye bread, a glass of zinfandel wine, and had oatmeal cookies and espresso for dessert.
