Tonight we are having chicken cacciatore, a Caesar salad, crusty garlic/rosemary bread, and sweet potato tarts topped with French vanilla ice cream.

Kids are coming so we have Kartoffelpuffer/potato pancakes with cinnamon sugar, homemade applesauce and yummy glass of milk.

We will spend the rest of the evening playing memory games,The Merry Game of Floundering still from my childhood and some other boardgames.
Have a nice weekend everyone!

Leftovers. Four butterflied, grilled jumbo shrimp in lime butter and half a filet of beef with chimichurri, wonderful baguette of crusty bread with garlic butter.

And since Praline brought it up, think I'll go pick up some romaine for a salad. It hardly feels like a meal to me without a green salad. And they always seem to be in short order here.

I saw the local grocer has a slim choice of dressings. Ranch, of course for all the Americanos, thousand island for who, and various oil and vinegar. I've been buying the ever-present ranch, squeezing in a lemon, a pinch of sweetener, black pepper and chunking up some good bleu cheese for my dressing.

I've been surprised how disappointing the tomatoes have been. Just like those pale, waxy ones at home in the winter. They must be going the way of corporate farming.

Blackened drum, broccoli and a bit of potato for DH. Maybe a salad (before the meal, LOL).
