I love snowy cold Fridays and one of my favorite places is my kitchen! At the moment I have a simple Hazelnut cake in the oven and will decorate it with a cocoa, vanilla, strong coffee butter icing.Next a Bauernbrot/farmer bread is ready to go in the oven.On the stovetop I have a potato, cauliflower, ginger, onion, garlic soup gently cooking and next to it keeping company a Pulao dish and in progress another new pot with boiling milk for yogurt.Meanwhile I am finished kneading the green lentil dough for parathas tomorrow.

For tonight a bowl of cauliflower soup with grilled tomato and cheese sandwich. For dessert 1/2 a pink grapefruit.Later by the fireplace a glass of Glühwein and a slice or two of Linzer squares while playing Canasta.Life is good!

After 7 hours of driving, I'm throwing a steak on the grill, boiling some red potatoes, and heating up some frozen broccoli.

Awesome. I want some.

Last night, a can of Progresso Beef Stew. To lazy to cook.
Tonight fried chicken livers and cabbage. Take out so no cooking.
Tomorrow night Escargot and Duck Confit. All I have to do is heat.

My tastes are eclectic and while I am a good cook, I do not like to cook and for only one. Fast and easy works for me.
