Last night hub made his yummy veggie burrito, with sour cream and salsa on top. Green salad with avocado and tomato.
I made dessert: creme patisserie (fancy name for vanilla pudding) topped with blueberries.

Tonight will be homemade Tom Kah soup (using paste packet with herbs) with side of mini Vietnamese dumplings and gyoza sauce. Banana and walnut bread dessert.

Change of plans due to weather. Roasted cauliflower and chickpea with buffalo sauce over faro and avocado, with a lemon, fresh dill and yogurt sauce.

And fried green onions (like onion rings, but green onions)

AND a riff on a green goddess cabbage salad

Sautéed some leftover sweet peppers, steak and chicken. Thought we had onion but couldn’t find it in the fridge. Used in some taco shells and wraps. Small glass of Sangria.

One Ghirardelli dark choc mint.

Well it’s a good thing I had planned to grill - we are in a power outage. I’m going to grill hamburgers, Vidalia onions, asparagus and heat some beans on the side burner.

Thumbs up Two Thumbs Up!

Tonight, Ol' Case is taking advantage of National Onion Ring Day. I decided to give Lazy Dog Restaurant a try. I had a cheeseburger (medium, American cheese, mustard, ketchup, onion, pickle, lettuce, and tomato) along with some flawless, battered onion rings. They were washed down with Dr Pepper.

And they were then followed by a brownie dessert sided with vanilla ice cream.

I did not know today was National Onion Ring day! One of the Vidalia onions in the pack my neighbor gave me is huge. It screams onion rings. Oh how I wish I had a recipe for flawless onion rings!
