We are expecting a big winter storm tomorrow ending by late Saturday causing chaos for travelers across the country to meet up with loved ones.Not everyone from my family has arrived yet and it is a wait and see situation....

Meanwhile for us tonight lentil burgers on buns and everyone can serve themselves with toppings they desire ( cheese slices,tomato slices,dill pickles/sweet pickles,relish,onion rings,ketchup,tarmarind sauce and mint chutney) To drink Perrier water with lemon or beer or skiwasser/raspberry syrup, lemon juice and water.For dessert a fruit or some baked Christmas cookies.

Last night was a burger with fried jalapeños, fries, split order of boneless wings with girlfriend.

Today we're baking cookies and dipping pretzel sticks for gifting so making easy dinner of store-bought raviolis and Rao's tomato sauce with mushrooms and garlic added by me. Green salad and Campari tomatoes. Dessert: puff pastry caramel apple concoction (have to find recipe of this description).

This evening, pulled pork with kabocha squash, brown rice & some home made slaw

It’s gumbo night! Requisite rice and garlic bread and a salad if I have the energy.

Boneless pork chops sauteed with lots of onions/garlic/white wine and finished with cream. Basmati, rabbit food, green beans. It is miserably cold out there. Feathered friends are on their third serving of regulard bird seed and sunflower seeds.

Still limping along on what we can find. DH had a can of Busch's beans, a grilled chicken breast from the freezer and some cole slaw.

I'm going to make some hummus and put it on toast with a fried egg and ketchup. Don't grimace. Then a slice of cranberry-orange nut bread
