Thankfully, we had a generator to keep our fridge/freezer going post-Ian nightmare, so I've taken out a container of frozen red pasta sauce I made a couple of weeks ago. Also have a couple of hot Italian sausages to serve with it and the spaghetti. That's comfort food for husband and me, and we're needing a lot of comfort these days. We were luckier than most for being right in its path but still frazzled.
And a couple glasses of red wine. To help unfrazzle that frazzle.
So sorry for all of you that had to deal with that mess. I'm in NJ here and we have 3 solid days of rain and cold but i won't dare complain... but due to that, yesterday was chicken noodle soup. Today was chili. Cold rainy day food.
Thick ham steaks from freezer, pineapple/mango/jalapeno salsa into the air fryer, sauteed summer squash, and leftover 3 bean salad.
