We have some local tomatoes, and some mozzarella, and some newly cut basil from the backyard. I imagine you can tell where this is going. I also bought at our local farmers' market some locally produced salami. We are having caprese with salami. We also bought a loaf of sourdough at the market, so we'll also have some buttered and toasted sourdough.
Its awfully hot today, so a no cook meal will be great.

Yum, this sounds fabulous! Anything with fresh basil just has to be good.
We had some left over roast I made in the crock pot a few days ago. I bought some emmental cheese with horseradish in it specifically to go with this left over roast. I sliced up some big, juicy tomatoes, and I loaded some very grainy bread with roast beef slices, horseradish cheese, mayo, mixed greens and tomatoes, with salt and pepper. YUM. Then a side of fresh fruit salad and some sour cream and onion chips. DELISH. And simple - like you, I wasn't in the mood to cook after a 96 degree day.
