I never cared for the excessive grease floating on top. They are very popular around here though. Must be like a NY pizza as we have a lot of retired NY'ers in the area. One of my old CD friends who is now an eternal member described a good NY pizza as one you could hold up and eat with the grease running down your arm.
I was one of the few people whose favorite large chain was Domino's even before the major recipe change a few years ago. When they changed their pizza, I was annoyed. However, the new recipe has grown on me. Domino's wasn't doing so well in ratings in relation to the other large chains, so they asked people what they wanted in their pizzas. The new recipe is what they came up with, and I read good reviews on it when it was first implemented.
Pizza Hut is just gross. It is my last pick among the large chains. I used to like Papa John's, but my last two pizzas from there weren't that good. Little Caesar's is fast and cheap, and that's about it. Everything about their pizzas tastes cheap. There is also no telling how long your pizza has been sitting in the warmer so that it can be hot and ready. However, I still choose Little Caesar's over Pizza Hut's pure nastiness.
I remember Domino's in college 8 years ago, and I really do remember it tasting different.
Now, I've avoided Little Caesar's FOREVER, I just had it over the weekend and couldn't belive how much better it is than I remember. I had a slice of meat lovers, and a slice of their white pizza w chicken. I can't believe I like them better than Domino's now!
