I'd love to trade a little of your heat for a little of our cool.

I was preparing chicken, purple hull peas and potatoes for tonight but that got pushed to the back burner.

My large chest freezer went out today, and although I only lost one bag of french fries and a 3 gallon container of cookies and cream ice cream, I did have a bunch of steaks thaw so we are now having steaks for dinner, and I have tomorrow nights dinner almost prepared as well. !

First of all, thank you all for your prayers and kind words. I know the time's tough, but we'll get through it. You guys are so sweet!

Elston, your DP sounds like me, everything with rice.

Kelsie, your dinner sounds so yummy!

Lacey, I think you game me the recipe for Panettone bread pudding last year. Do you mind digging it out again? It was really good, but I cannot find the recipe.

Tonight, ginger pork, cabbage and rice. Quick and easy.

Gemkeeper's Creeping Crust Cobbler is the recipe I've used most from here. I always have the ingredients on hand and it's become my last minute, "company stopped by and I need something to serve with coffee" go-to.

Tonight will be broiled bay scallops w/ butter and paprika for me, while DH has leftover chicken caccitore. I'll have a baked potato and DH will have pasta as sides and we'll both have a tossed salad.
