I think tonight will be stuffed cabbage rolls that everyone seemed to be haveing a few days ago. I bought a cabbage and on second inspection the leaves might be to small to roll, if that's the case I'll just cut everything up and bake in a casserole dish and call it Cabbage Casserole.

Don't feel bad about your dinner disaster Cyn. I once went to add a very slight sprinkle of fennel seed to my spaghetti sauce only to find out the lid hadn't been put back on tightly. I ended up with licorice tasting spaghetti sauce This was when we were so poor that dinner was eaten no matter how it turned out, because we were only allowed so much each week from the food bank.

It's really hard on me---of course I have a very picky hubby--he's a friggin' perfectionist! And because "he" cooks so well it's double hard for me! I was ready to throw the towel in last night....really felt down. I guess you just have to go back to square one. UGH!!!

Don't feel bad it happens to all of us. Try to find at least a few good standby meals that you and your husband like and "write the recipe down".
When you make new things it's good to get feed back. I told my husband a long time ago "if I make something and you don't like it you have to tell me or I will keep cooking it". I thought it was a good idea until I ended up making 2 different dinners almost every night because we don't like the same foods.

I will be in the same boat very soon because I have a ton of new recipes that I want to try this winter, LOL. Oh yeah, I can see the pounds piling on

Writing down the recipe---I always do--just not this time! I'll probably never figure out exactly what I did the first time to make it so good! I'm afraid to even try now! But I'm sure I will..eventually! I have enough meals I've frozen to get me over this hump! I know those are good. Ha!

Happy Halloween everyone!! Tonight we are going to a 70's theme party, so the food is going to be fondue, pigs in the blanket, various cheeses and fruit, lots of deserts & chili. I am making a hot cider, oj and Blackjack apple brandy drink with cinnamon sticks and nutmeg.
I went to grand opening of our new "The Fresh Market" yesterday and made grilled Yellowtail Tuna & Grouper topped with a honey dijon sauce, grilled fresh asparagus and bleu cheese stuffed baked potatoes for dinner last night.
Have a great day and a wonderful night everyone. kelsie

Hello there everyone. Tonight will be leftover meatloaf and whatever else is leftover. It worked out nicely so that my wife will not have to do any cooking and can pay attention to the door as the little kiddies show up for goodies.

Yes the easy Halloween meal-I always had a big pot of chili cooked and the kids and their friends could come and get a bowl and go back out for more loot.

It couldn't have been worse than that nasty stringy squash I served. And I don't know why my meatballs weren't as good as usual either. I told my husband, it's not so great tonight, but eat it anyway, and he did.
You should have made some tacos!
