Benton County has a reputation for being very conservative, although it is moderating a bit with all the growth of the past decade. Fayetteville is the liberal spot in NWA so if a liberal leaning town is one of your requirements, you should definately look there. Benton county is still dry. Don't worry though, while Rogers and Bentonville lean to the right, they aren't anywhere near as conservative as communities like Harrison or Ft. Smith and people of all types can fit in there.

No - Bentonville is very traditional and conservative. Even the transplants to NWA that do business with 'big blue' have to quickly learn to conform to the Bentonville way of doing things.

My guess is No, certainly not Bentonville, I don't know about Rogers. Actually according to our granddaughter, her friends and fiance even Fayetteville isn't nearly as liberal as many college towns like, say, Auston, TX, Palo Alto, Berkerly or Boulder, just to mention a few.

I think you may be confusing conservative with racist. WEll I dont know about Ft Smith, but many of us know Harrison is more than just conservative.

Siloam Springs has the nice town feel, but offers a lot in way of educational opportunities. It's a quick 15 minute drive to the Springdale/Fayetteville area and 20 minute drive tot he Rogers/Bentonville area. It's a very nice place to live, but there isn't any night life.
