I noticed in the "I love it when guys wear" thread that there were some posts knocking guys who wear flip flops. Over the past few summers the shoes have been pretty popular amongst the 20/30 something crowd. I've had a few female friends in the past try to convince me to wear them although I never had the courage to go through with it lol. They seem comfortable but then I think about the image that I would projecting and would feel kinda awkward wearing them.
What do you ladies think? Let's assume that the guy keeps his feet clean and looking halfway presentable. Do you like to see him wearing flip flops with shorts or not?
Who cares? If a guy wants to be casual and comfy, let him be! So long as he's not wearing flip flops with a business suit, or to work, or out on a dinner date, let the man be, people!!!
I grew up in California, where the standard casual uniform for men seems to be a T-shirt, cargo shorts and flip-flops. My husband lives in that outside of work. I don't mind the look in casual places a bit, as long as the guy takes care of his feet. I do think wider-strapped leather kind look better than the $5 rubber Old Navy flip-flops.
For those men who don't like the look or, um, flip-floppiness of flip-flops, or who want something a little less casual, may I suggest fisherman's sandals?
It depends on the guy some look good in them and some don't.
I had an ex who wore them and I thought he looked stupid in them. But then again it didn't take much to do that. My son wears them but I think he look pretty good in a pair.
I have friends I grew up with who always wore them and they looked pretty good in them as well.
Like I said it depends. Not everyone looks great in a pair of jeans or swimming suit depends on the person and the style.
