F-15: 104-0. Still mad about that? Russia only lost what 10 aircraft in Syria? Better than in Georgia, but barely.
I could go on
You can continue, but why? This is a war. People are dying in wars, this is a sad truth. Russia participates in ground operations in Syria. And Russia helps Syrian people. Russia does not destroy cities as NATO does. Today is February 23 and I will tell you 2 stories about Syria. First about the pilot Roman Filipov. His Su-25 was shot down over Syria, but he managed to eject. He was surrounded by enemies and blew himself up with a grenade so as not to be captured.
Second story about the gunner Alexander Prokhorenko. He was surrounded, but he called missile fire on himself. He died, but more than 100 enemies died with him. https://s13.stc.all.kpcdn.net/share/...977/wx1080.jpg
I was researching Smolenck today. It's my favorite city to visit, a great old fashioned city that has modernized itself while keeping the old look of the past. Or so we're told.
I was shocked and depressed to find that there is now McDonalds and a f##king Burger King just north of the River. Within sight of the Cathedral where the bars and restaurants (the good ones) used to be. My favorite hotel is gone too.

Max, your country is going to the dogs.
Uhmm...
I was making my case in a similar way regarding Moscow as well ( that these "New Russians" are like the locust, that in the name of money destroys anything and everything of value in cultural/historical sense of it.)
But that's Moscow - it's a capital, so this can be understood more or less.
However across the country you can see this sh*t coming up more and more,
replacing the original architecture, that was saved even through the war times.
The "fifth column" sits in Russia indeed, BUT...
This "fifth column," the so-called "new Russians" promoting idea of "money above anything" were not accepted by the "Old Europe" ( Germans first of all ) whose approval they were hoping to gain, and now they are serving a totally different purpose of pushing the world closer and closer to a brink of the end (WWIII.)
With the destruction of the "Old World" attempted by America, the tectonic plates of some kind started to move. The old prophecies are coming into action)))
I am sad for you Max. They must put something in the food.
I believe that my stomach and bacteria break down food into amino acids and my RNA will synthesize my proteins from me. I don't see a problem in burgers.

I agree with Erasure. Such things take away from Russia, they do not add. Considering we have Russian fast food places here I guess you can call it a trade.

Well go to Youtube, type in "Supersize me" and report back - tell us what you see.
I wonder if the Russian gov will allow you to see the info potentially damaging to the "biz."

The quality is not up to Russian standards though. Overpriced and just not as good as the real stuff.
We need to define what "Russian standards" are lately.
The quality of good foods went significantly down in Russia, once Russians learned how to add chemicals in their food American way. "Profits above anything" is their motto now as well.
The latest butch of chocolate candies with iconic Russian name that my mother sent me last time, went straight to the garbage can.
I already pointed at this trend in the "German thread"; this trend of killing the quality of things the corporate way in the name of profits; it infuriates me, and it needs to be stopped once and for all!!!!
