No, the OP really didn't have any sincerity as to the agenda of GOP candidates. That is most clear from the poll.

The wealthy already pay 90% of all the taxes collected. How much more do you want to steal from them?

I remember something about Medicare taxes going up WITHOUT increase in benefits for those over a certain income... I remember the liberals trying to increase SS taxes by abolishing the cap... I remember the liberals trying to increase income tax rates.... I remember liberals trying to increase sales taxes on a multitude of items.... What tax increases in the last three years? Thank goodness we have Republicans otherwise the question would of been what taxes were not increased...

Ok i will bite..

I hope the next president will

Abolish obama care and replace with a preventative plan that actually helps people go to doctors before they are sick. Instead of showing up at er when it may be too late.

Balance budget by cutting wasteful spending.

Stop treating americans like we are idiots.

Change the law that congress is exempt from inside trader status.

Work to stabilize the energy costs to americans

Incentive all businesses to build and employ here. I dont care if businesses dont pay any taxes if they do all hiring of americans and all work here in usa.

Thats a start. If you want to know my health care solution pm me.

West, what happened? Just a couple of days ago you were opening your mind and thinking about voting for ron paul.... now you're passing off negative judgement against people that have views you don't agree with?

a few things people forget

1) the bush tax cuts were tax cuts for every bracket... not just high income earners
2) highers taxes dont necessarily mean higher revenues. This is demonstrated by the "Laffer" curve. Essentially, tax rates increasing after a certain point would actually reduce tax revenues (think bell curve)
3) taxes are a good thing. They are necessariy for a civilized socieity. But over-taxing can make people dependent on the state. It's just human nature. People like receiving things they dont have to work for. And it's easy to be for increasing taxes if it will benefit you personally. However, refer back to the laffer curve. Dependence on the state will reduce revenues because the base to collect the revenue will decrease. There must be an equilibrium between taxes and welfare. Even the liberal haven of Sweden had to reduce its taxes because of this very problem.
