Well, we've already established that there is a double standard for teachers and other professionals.
I don't advise dating any 18 year old, but if you must, and you value your job, I would wait until the day after graduation. If you don't care about being fired, go for it.
Did someone say crazy? Do not be involved with any STUDENT in high school. Let them graduate and if for some bizzare reason you feel the need to have a relationship, you are both adults.
Years after I graduated, I found out one of my classmates ended up marrying a male teacher at our high school...not sure when it started or how long after graduation, but it is wierd to say the least.
