Thanks - My friend won't be updating (she doesn't even answer her emails from me, LMAO)

I've been trying to do things "in advance" - like: went to Hair Cuttery (hmmm) - and got it cut because I won't be up for that for weeks and I wear it shorter (well, not as short as now but that's another story) - my hair grows super-fast. Washed down walls in the downstairs bath as they have to paint that now, no idea of contractor schedule and not sure IF the work I was told would be done upstairs will be or not - no idea if I'm going to have to move upstairs or can be on main level the entire time, planning grocery store visit, laundry, etc. so I won't have to deal with that. Just ready for it to be over, LOL

(at least I don't have to poop-scoop right now ... hahaha) - not a fun job, but someone's gotta do it - huh?

Before my foot-fusion surgery, when I knew I'd be bedbound for almost 6 months, I got my hair cut super-short. It was such a freeing feeling, although I'd never have it that short again. I posted a photo here about 5 months after my surgery and my hair was still really short. Of course, my hair always falls out after every surgery due to the anesthetic.

I wish you could have your computer open to this C-D page and ask your friend to just write "all went well" -- or you write it beforehand and show her how to hit the POST button. Just so we know everything went ok during the surgery.

One suggestion. I never have any pain after surgeries but, after my foot surgery, they bandaged my foot so tightly that, when it swelled that night, I was in agony. Thank goodness I was hospitalized for one night, as the nurses had to get permission to give me morphine. And even morphine didnt alleviate the pain. I was up and walking around just fine within an hour of my abdominal ovariohysterectomy and could have gone back to work that same day -- same with all my other surgeries -- so I'm not kidding when I say that foot pain was bad.

I had told the foot surgeon that I swell up a lot after every surgery but he didnt believe me. I begged the nurses to ask him to have them loosen the bandages and, once they did that, the pain went away immediately. So, if your surgery is going to require any bandaging, and if you tend to swell, you might ask your doctor not to bandage you too tightly.

Good luck. I'll be praying for you Wednesday (and after that too)!!!

Sorry I've been gone for so long but we had a whirlwind decision to make and then act quick.
We bought another motor home!! Got a 2006 Bounder 35E. Just google it and you can see the floor plan. Ours has the darker wood. I am so in love with it. It kinda fell in our laps and at a really good price from a relative of hubby's. We had to go to Oklahoma to get it and took 9 days getting back. We had SOOOOOO much fun!!

Now it get the 1999 cleared out, cleaned up and for sale.

Good luck on your surgery Flamingo13!!!!

TFW, hubby always say No good deed goes unpunished! You did a good thing,

I'll be thinking of you and praying for you tomorrow, Flamingo. What time is the surgery scheduled -- so I can really focus on you and your surgeon then?

I really wish there were someone who could post to us tomorrow after you're out of surgery.

And I know there are many others who will be thinking of you and hoping for the best for you. Many people just dont feel comfortable posting.
